Pic Five
Joe’s Pic 5 from 2016
December 29th, 2016
For just the first time in my adult life, I started a year without a full-time job. Or perhaps, more accurately, a full-time job working for a company or an organization. I started 2016 running my own business, a mashup of communications consulting and marketing, commissioned photography work and a plan to start doing photography workshops in Cuba. I ended up making three trips to Cuba in 2016 so it's not too surprising that all five of my favorite photos from the year were taken there. It's true that Cuba is a photographer's dream. It would be very difficult to go there and not come back with some great images. And one of the best parts of it for me is being able to share some of what I love about Cuba with other photographers.

I've got four workshops planned in 2017, including one with street photographer Chris Suspect in March that should be one of my most interesting trips, yet. Cuba, I'm not done with you.
